Now in its fifth year, the inspiring broadcast will also see support from Hollywood heavyweights like Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey andEmma Stone. Bradley Cooper has signed on as executive producer.
“We all have a reason to stand up,” said Bradley in a statement. He added: “We honour the personal stories that motivate individuals to fight, and that highlight the urgent need to get new treatments to the patients who so desperately need them.”
Along with Celine, Keith Urban and Little Big Town will deliver emotionally charged performances during the one-hour show.
Stand Up to Cancer has also launched a new social media campaign in support of the broadcast. People are encouraged to share their own experiences with the disease through photos and video posts using the hashtag #Reasons2StandUp.
